Carol Peace

A figurative sculptor who graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1992 and founded the Bristol Drawing School, with large-scale works on permanent display at Glyndebourne. She models each figure in clay with the quick, fluid marks of a charcoal drawing, then casts it so those marks are held for good. Bronze resin figures that give a garden its still point among the planting.

Siting and placement

Site sculpture where a sightline ends — from a kitchen window, a bench, the turn of a path — and check it from the house as well as the garden. Raise smaller works on plinths so planting frames rather than hides them.

Heavier pieces need a firm, level base: a paving slab, a concealed concrete pad or a made plinth. We advise on fixing and, where sensible, discreet security anchoring.

Living with the collection

Bronze resin needs very little — an occasional rinse and a soft brush keep it looking its best. We confirm exactly what each piece prefers before you buy.

Delivery and positioning are arranged by the gallery, including crated transport for larger works. We provide documentation for insurance and valuation.

Yes. The pieces we recommend for outdoors are cast in bronze resin to live outside year-round. We confirm the care each piece needs — which is very little.

You are welcome to view works at the gallery, and for larger pieces we can advise on siting from photographs of your garden. For local projects, ask about a visit.

The gallery arranges crated delivery and positioning, including plinths and fixing where needed. Tell us about access — gates, steps, lawns — and we will plan around it.

Talk to us about commissions — from garden-scale figures to larger works. We manage the process collaboratively, from first conversation to installation.
