Own Art Scheme

Making art affordable for all

We are a member of the Own Art scheme, the interest free loan initiative created by Arts Council England.  We can offer interest free loans to enable you to purchase works of art and craft. This innovate initiative allows art buyers to spread the cost of their purchase to suit their respective financial situations.

Own Art 20 offers you the opportunity to spread the cost of contemporary art and craft over 20 months completely interest free. You can borrow between £2,500 and £20,000. The loan can be used to cover one single larger value piece or a group of lower value items whose total adds up to more than £2,500.

What is the Own Art scheme?

The scheme is a national initiative that makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by letting you spread the cost of your purchase over 10 or 20 months with an interest free loan.

Who runs the scheme?

The scheme is an Arts Council England initiative operated by Creative Sector Services CIC, a Community Interest Company, in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and credit provider Novuna.

How does it work?

The loan is processed in the gallery at the time of purchase. Each loan application is subject to a credit check. If your application is successful you are free to take your artwork home to enjoy that day. Alternatively it can be processed over the telephone and via email.  for more information please contact us.
