At Byard Art, we’ve made answering those questions simple, with two ways to live with a piece before you commit.
Our free Art Visualiser app uses augmented reality to place any enabled artwork directly onto your own wall, viewed through your phone or tablet. It’s the quickest way to gauge scale, placement and framing without guesswork, and without a single nail in the plaster.
Using it couldn’t be simpler. When you find a piece you love on our website, scroll to the bottom of the artwork page and either scan the QR code or tap the “Visualise on Your Wall” button, then follow the on-screen prompts to position the work in your space. You can move it, resize it to true scale, and step back to see how it reads from across the room.
Because it’s so quick, it’s ideal for comparing. Try two contenders in the same spot, or the same piece in different rooms, until one clearly wins. The app is completely free and available on both the App Store and Google Play. If there’s a work you’d like to preview that isn’t yet enabled, just let us know, we’re continually updating the system and adding new pieces.
Sometimes you need to see the real thing. Our Preview at Home service lets local clients collect a chosen piece and live with it for a night — no deposit, and no obligation to buy.
Seeing a work under your own lighting, amongst your own surroundings, can make all the difference. A painting that seemed bold in the gallery may settle beautifully at home; a colour you were unsure of may turn out to be exactly right. We simply hold your card details securely during the approval period, and no payment is taken unless you decide to go ahead. For clients further afield, we can arrange Preview at Home via delivery, with transport costs based on location and the size of the work.
The Art Visualiser is perfect for the early stage, narrowing a shortlist, testing scale, ruling things in and out from the sofa. Preview at Home is for the final, confident yes, when you want to be certain before a piece becomes part of your home or collection. Used together, they take much of the uncertainty out of buying art.
