Fronted by long-established framer Andy Miller, formerly based at the Lawson Gallery, our experienced team are ready to help you choose a bespoke handmade frame to complement your art and interiors.
Our knowledgeable staff can show you an extensive range of samples of the highest quality frames and mounts for you to select from. We are happy to advise you and will competitively price your bespoke picture framing project.
Our picture framers have over 25 years of experience, and can mount and frame even the most challenging range of artwork and memorabilia in our fully equipped Cambridge workshop.
All artwork is secure and fully insured whilst in our care.
Frames and Mounts – To protect your artwork here at Byard, all our framing is done to a recognised conservation standard using high quality materials which are acid free and non-ageing. For particularly vulnerable pieces we can offer museum conservation framing using cotton core mountboard and Japanese hinging tapes.
Glass – We use 2mm float glass as standard. However, we can offer you a range of non-reflective and UV filter glass. Look at our samples and discuss options with us, we are here to help. We also offer a re-glazing service.
Textiles – We can stretch and re-stretch canvases as well as frame textiles such as samplers, embroideries, tapestries and silks. We can pin these delicate works to foam core board or lace them around acrylic, easing them into shape before putting into a frame of your choice.
