Vanessa Whitehouse

Vanessa Whitehouse works from her studio in Kent close to the River Medway. Granddaughter to the Bloomsbury artist Alfred Jobson Brown, she comes from a highly artistic background and was introduced to painting from a young age. Her work explores a range of mixed media, materials and techniques, producing vibrant paintings of English landscapes, orchards and seascapes. She says “In my paintings I have tried to capture a sense of distance, I want the viewer to feel they are standing in a field of flowers or on the beach looking out to the horizon.” Vanessa exhibits her paintings through prestigious galleries across the UK that showcase her work as far as New York, Toronto and Singapore.
