Rosy Gounaris Milner
Born in the US and raised in Greece, I studied History of Art and Archaeology at the Sorbonne, Paris IV, in France, followed by an MA in Museum Studies at Leicester, UK. I then worked and did voluntary work in museums and art galleries in France, Greece and the UK.
Jewellery has always been a passion of mine. Since 2000 I have combined family life with studying jewellery design through part-time courses in Greece and the UK, and now make one-off pieces.
I use silver, 18-carat gold and semi-precious stones. I also use other materials, such as textile, felt, seashells, pebbles and beads in various materials, to create interesting, unusual compositions and contrasts. Both the lost wax and hand-fabricated from precious metal methods are used.
