Marie Canning

Jeweller

Biography

Marie Canning trained at Manchester School of Art in 2012 in ceramics and silversmithing. Shortly after this she began making porcelain jewellery and bridal accessories for her growing family of stockists.

Marie works overlooking the Yorkshire hills, a constant source of inspiration for her. Her creations are now available at gallery shops and bridal boutiques in Europe, New Zealand, Australia and the US. She also takes bespoke commissions.

Marie’s jewellery and accessories are exquisitely feminine, perfect for those who love the subtle and delicate. Intricate floral details are hand crafted and decorated with pastel sweeps and drops of gold. Her tiny jewellery pieces are backed with precious metals which keep the porcelain safe and protected. At the heart of her values is the desire for quality craftsmanship and a respect for nature. Each piece is handmade using traditional ceramic techniques. The making process is lengthy and her pieces take several days to complete.
