A silversmith for 16 years, Ashi’s career took off following the completion of her degree in Design at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The intricate designs of her handmade jewellery are rooted in the architecture of India’s stunning monuments and palaces. The geometry of the structural arches, the complex details of the ceilings, and the decorative panels in the windows and screens, all provide inspiration for her work.
The jewellery has the essence of the geometry, repetition and pattern found in these unique building. The pieces have a distinct style, are tactile, three dimensional and have a touch of the luxurious.
Born in Kenya to Indian parents, Ashi’s work is a reflection of her own rich cultural heritage.
