Winter Wildlife Blue Tit

For the past few years I have designed and made a stained glass panel to use as a Christmas card. In 2017 I made five small panels inspired by wildlife in the snow.

I used flashed glass that I engraved and painted. Engraving flashed glass reveals the clear glass beneath the thin layer of colour and gives the surface of glass a texture that catches the light in interesting ways.
