Sally Ratcliffe has been designing and making jewellery since 1987. She grew up in the countryside near Ruthin, North Wales, and translates her appreciation and fascination with nature into her designs. She works mainly in silver, reticulating the surface to give a more natural, organic feel to her pieces. She often embellishes her pieces with rose and yellow 9ct gold, or semi-precious stones. With the exception of the smaller items, all are hallmarked with the Sheffield assay mark and her own personal, registered stamp. Sally works from her studio in Sheffield and exhibits her work through galleries across the UK.
