Naomi is a British figurative painter whose work celebrates femininity, introspection and the quiet rituals of everyday life. Her richly layered paintings are known for their vibrant colour, intricate pattern and powerful sense of narrative, often portraying strong female figures within intimate interior spaces.
History
Naomi studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 1992. Although she initially planned a career in fashion, the arrival of her first child led her to follow a different creative path and pursue painting instead. After working in art education and leading a creative arts faculty while raising her three daughters, she established herself as a full-time artist. Her work has since been exhibited across the UK, including at the RA Summer Exhibition, Garden Museum, Benton End and Liberty London, and has been featured in ROSA Magazine and Elle Décor Italia.
Style & Technique
Naomi’s paintings explore moments of stillness and reflection, set within richly decorated interiors filled with lush textiles, bold patterns and saturated colour. Her work focuses on the female form, presenting statuesque figures in contemplative poses and everyday rituals. Through layered compositions and a distinctive decorative language, she creates immersive scenes that reflect both inner emotional worlds and the beauty of the spaces that surround them.
