Since graduating with a First in Graphic Design and obtaining her Masters in Illustration from the Royal College of Art, Michelle Thompson has been at the forefront of illustration. Working in publishing, editorial and design she has been commissioned by a number of prestigious clients including; the Museum of London, Hotel Chocolat, The Guardian, Economist and the Royal Mail. In 2013 she was short-listed for the V&A Illustration awards and received ‘The Merit Award’ at the 3×3 Pro Illustration Show. She has illustrated book covers for Cherie Blair’s ‘The Goldfish Bowl’ and Iain Banks ‘The Wasp Factory.’ Her work has been described as “uniquely versatile and constantly evolving” working with mixed media, collage and photography from an extensive archive of elements accumulated over the past 15 years. She regularly exhibits her work across the UK and has achieved international recognition, illustrating a regular column for the Globe and Mail in Toronto.
