Biography

Born in Hampshire 1960, animal sculptor Lucy Kinsella moved to Leicestershire where she studied Sculpture at Loughborough University. Shortly after her studies she was awarded Scholarships to study in Florence and Southern Ireland. Lucy has exhibited extensively since 1999, featuring work at the Royal Academy, Newby Hall Sculpture Park, the Burlington Arcade, Chelsea Flower Show and the RHS Flower Show. Her work is in private and public collections in Sweden, France, the USA, Japan, South Africa, Japan and China. Her trademark style is shown with her “expressive handling and fine detailing that captures the movement and energy of her chosen subject.” She produces both table-top bronzes and large scale pieces. In 2009 she was approached to commission a piece for Burton Village.
