Louise Davies

Louise Davies is a professional printmaker and oil painter who lives and works in South London. She specialises in etchings and collographs mostly of urban landscapes of London. She also does oil paintings of London views like the River Thames, Canary Wharf, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge and scenes from Greenwich and Blackheath. “Her evocative prints of urban and rural scenes combine a sensitive approach to colour with a gestural, looser application of paint. Etched line and texture are introduced to roughly define architectural and natural forms.”
