Dutch-Argentine artist Lorena Kloosterboer creates contemporary realist still life, focusing on glass and ceramic pieces, sometimes accompanied by birds or other animals. Lorena’s compositions are infused with symbolism, allowing the artist an essential freedom of expression to convey her thoughts and beliefs. Her paintings reveal a desire to capture the fascinating interactions between colour, light, shadow, texture and reflection, and unite them in visual poetry.
Lorena has painted for over thirty-five years. During her career she has won numerous awards and participated in over one hundred and fifty shows worldwide.
She also enjoys writing about art and fellow artists. She has published a book entitled Painting in Acrylics, publishes essays, and writes introductions to art catalogues.
Lorena currently lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium
