Kim Tillyer is an artist, designer and maker. Originally from Yorkshire, in 2015 she found a new house in the Lake District’s beautiful Newlands Valley.
Much of Kim’s work is a combination of cyanotype printing with traditional stitch techniques alongside intricately hand-drawn motifs that often feature birds, bears and plants. She also looks at shelter within such landscapes, be it tents or a simple house. She’s influenced by northern folklore as well as the visual delights of the ever changing Lake District landscape. Where possible Kim uses local suppliers, recycled and eco-friendly materials, and believes in sustainability and preservation of the landscapes and environments that inspires her work.
