I am inspired by nature and hope my paintings convey a response to the natural world. They are an amalgamation of places I have visited. I take trips to Devon most years, I am drawn to anywhere that I can find the sea. I find  seascapes very dreamy. Particularly I want my work to create a sense of peace and calm and even happiness in the viewer.

I sketch in watercolour when out and about and take photograph’s and then use this as inspiration for my larger scale works in my studio.

I also collect memorabilia, in particular china jugs, and enjoy creating a sense of scale and distance by placing them in the foreground of my work. Creating a window. Looking out onto a story beyond.
